Kernels 2006 at the Palace of Knossos

The Kernels program brought together for the third year in Crete about 40 students selected from among the secondary schools of 9 countries (Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Turkey, USA). Students discussed the challenges of the civil society, foreign affairs and security issues as well as about the respect of the rule of law and the environment protection. The program started in Athens where the young Kernels met the NATO Secretary General during his visit to the greek capital. Students had also meetings with the Minister of Education, the Vice Mayor of Athens and in the Parliament.
