The Hungarian Youth Atlantic Council, in cooperation with the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association and with the Zrínyi Miklós National Defense University, has organized an international Youth Atlanticist Meeting on the topic of Partners Across the Globe, which has been the side event to the NATO Defense Ministerial Meeting. The youth meeting took place on October 8th -12th and consisted in a series of conferences, roundtable and side-events mainly focused on the NATO global partnership concept.
The official program included lectures given by NATO and Partner Countries Ambassadors, as well as by international experts on NATO Partnerships Across the Globe; in addition, the program included a simulation of North Atlantic Council decision making process and a visit to the Hungarian Parliament.
50 students and young researchers from more than 20 countries participated in the meetings, roundtable and discussion with - among the others - the Minister of Defense of Hungary, Hon. Imre Szekeres, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, Mr. Jean Francois Bureau and US Ambassador to NATO, Ambassador Kurt Volker.
The Italian Atlantic Committee delegation participated in thdiscussion with two selected students.
