In the awakening of the turbulences in the Arab world, the Palermo Atlantic Forum has raised some very important points about security and cooperation issues. With new challenges such as terrorism, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, illegal trafficking (both in drugs and human beings), trans-national organized crime, and environmental problems, countries need to collaborate in order to find effective solutions.
