Founder and Chairman of the Religion & Security Council, his main research activities are focused on the Mediterranean, Middle East and Gulf region, NATO, Transatlantic relations and the US foreign policy, conflicts resolution, radicalization and terrorism, interreligious dialogue. Specialized in Strategic Studies at the Center for High Defense Studies, Italian Ministry of Defense, he collaborated with the Military Center for Strategic Studies and the Italian Institute for Asia and the Mediterranean.
