Matteo Bressan is author of the book Hezbollah, between political integration and armed struggle. He graduated in Humanities at La Sapienza University of Rome and his dissertation on the problems faced by the Italian eastern border during World War II was awarded in the Italian Senate in 2006. He was elected a member of the steering committee of the Italian Society of Military History in 2007 and was reconfirmed in this position in 2012. He achieved a Master’s Program in Strategic-Military International Studies organized by the Center for High Defense Studies and attended the course in Civil Military Cooperation of the Multinational Cimic South of Motta di Livenza. In addition, he carried out activities in the field of international cooperation and education both in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Lebanon. In October 2010, he lectured on “Hezbollah and the New Political Manifesto” in the Circolo Ufficiali of Bologna together with representatives of the local university. He is a contributor to various newspapers and specialized magazines, such as Informazioni della Difesa, Rivista Militare, and l’Occidentale, the online daily of the Magna Carta Foundation.
