Hon. Franco Frattini, President of the Italian Society for International Organization and Italy’s official candidate to the position of NATO Secretary General, together with the Hon. Federica Mogherini, President of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, took part in a meeting organized on October 24 by the Italian Atlantic Committee during a visit to Rome of a Delegation of the Norwegian Atlantic Committee (DNAK).
The meeting was also addressed by Prof. Fabrizio W. Luciolli, Secretary General of the Italian Atlantic Committee, and Lt. Gen. Giovanni Marizza, member of the Steering Board of the Italian Atlantic Committee and expert on security issues and crisis management.
The Delegation was led by Dr. Kate Hansen Bundt, DNAK Secretary General, and composed of representatives from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense, university professors, researchers, journalists and members of the DNAK Steering Board. The meeting offered the opportunity to illustrate the guidelines of the Italian Foreign and Security Policy and to address highly topical subjects, such as the evolution of the crisis in Syria, the situation in Libya, and the immigration problem.
